We work on a pro-bono basis with a local charity organisation near our offices. The Baytree Centre focuses on creating social mobility for women and girls from South London and empowers them to learn new things, go into study and/or work and enables them to be financially independent and progress up the social mobility ladder.
A lot of the women we work with, where we help them to prepare for work/study and help them find jobs, have come from challenging backgrounds, with many seeking asylum/safety, fleeing domestic violence and many other ways in which their freedom has been restricted.

As an organisation, Zing is extremely passionate when it comes to social mobility and believes that real change comes when people are given space and support to be able to move up the social ladder, regardless of background, lifestyle, or experience. We are now part of the Social Mobility Foundation’s mentoring programme, where we support younger people from challenging backgrounds to improve their lives and the lives of people around them through education, study, and work.
Throughout our learning programmes with clients, we consistently approach the topic of their role within the wider society and not just for employees, members, and clients, because we believe that organisations have just as much to do to create a fairer world for all as education and government policies do. This is a huge part of our ethos at Zing, to create long lasting tangible change to the masses, not just the organisations we support.
